Jim Le Fevre Phonotrope

An edit from a live performance at ‘Heavy Pencil’ held at the ICA Gallery, London. Jim Le Fevre invited me to create original music to accompany his fantastic zoetrope turntable animations.

Inspired by the link to turntables and 45rpm rotation, I sampled all the sounds from my collection of 1980’s pop 7″ records and created a set of original loops which sync precisely with the movement of the animations.
